sexes of chicks

    Hey all...posting new pics of my rescues. The lady that gave them to me said they are Buff Orp, White English Orp, Brahma, and one other I cannot recall.

    All of the small black birds are Astralorps, with the exception on the mottled one. I think she's a cross between Astralorp and Barred Rock. The sad looking bird is named Boots. She I think...hasn't recovered as quickly.

    How old are they? The ones with the red combs are likely roosters.

    Approximately 12 to 14 weeks is what I calculate. One of the birds, the light brown guy, has three rows on his pea comb....so assuming he's a he.

    Really hard to guess with all of them jumbled together. Individual pictures would make it much easier. I agree the ones with red combs showing are likely roosters. Do you know how old any of them are?
