I just bought a 4 month old silkie today and read much research about characteristics of male and female silkies. Based on what I’ve seen so far and my own examination, I’m hoping we received a hen. We can’t keep roosters in our area and just wanted to see if others think this chicken we received is also a hen. Thanks in advance for your time.

Yes, I see the similarities. How old is your silkie? It can definitely be a waiting game for the first egg or crow from these beautiful birds.
S/he is approximately 5 months. I believed for so long pullet, but got a few moments where it was hard to tell. I'm just waiting to see now lol
