I have 17 four week old chicks of different breeds. I have Ameraucanas (possibly EEs), RIRs, BCMs, and Buff Orpingtons. I also have black sex links but obviously I know what they are. I was supposed to have Welsummers in this group of chicks but I had a hard time identifying which ones were Welsummers if any. All of the chicks were supposed to be sexed except the BCMs and the Welsummers. So my questions are is it too early to try to sex these 2 breeds and if I posted some pictures could someone help me identify the Welsummers? Can Welsummers look a lot like EE or Ameraucana chicks? None of my chicks had the distinct bars across the eyes or chipmunk pattern with the V on the head that you'd typically see on Welsummer Chicks.

Ok. I'll try to post some pictures this evening. I'm away from home right now. I appreciate you're willingness to help. I hope I take a guess at which ones might even be Welsummers now. They are feathering out so much! And you make a very good point Ole Grey Mare.
