Hi
i was wondering if anyone could tell the gender of my quails.

i did think they were femals but i was unsure as they have a tinge of yellow on their front feathers. Thanks for the replies my first post and i feel very welcome great forum

You can usually tell by three weeks, the males will start getting a creamy rust color. It's not really yellow as it has that tinge of pale red color. It's pretty obvious if you have a male and female to look at side by side. When my current chicks are three weeks I'll try to post a pic and at four weeks. Before three weeks it can be iffy since its those middle breast feathers where the color will be that grow in last.

Can someone please help me sex my two quails they was hatched in incubator they are 4 weeks old

Could you get a chest picture if 1 and two? Totally agree 1 looks like a boy (red feathers on back of head) and 3 and four not feather sexable. 2 might be a pearl type variant (fawn/Italian fee) but not certain from the photo also looks overall reddish (roux too?) but hard to tell.
