Sexing Appenzella's chicks? " Help"

    This is my 5 week year old chick called opal I'm hopping she's a girl any opinions on what sex she is? Thankyou [​IMG]

    The pinkish, enlarged "pimples" (V comb) on your baby is making me suspect cockerel..... but yet it's dark in color more like a pullet. I'm confused. [​IMG]

    A visible comb and wattles at this age generally indicates a cockerel. Pullet usually don't show and comb until their much older. I'd say 80% chance its a cockerel, slight chance its a pullet though. Keep finger crosses lol!
