How do you sex baby chicks? Or is there a way to tell? the chicks are 1-3 days old
Yes there is but I need to know how old they are.
i have read somewhere when they are babies, that you can squeeze them and look at their vents....if there is a small bump on the bottom of the vent area it is a boy, if not it is a girl....this can be very hard to tell.....and by the way the squeezing does not hurt the chick,,,if you do it right
Some breeds you can tell by their feathers. ONLY SOME BREEDS THOUGH!!! Girls have two rows of wing feathers, and boys only have one. What breeds those are...I don't know.
yes that is correct, and some a sexlinks have noticable markings on their bodies when born.....you can tell by leg color, white/black spots on their heads....barred rocks share this quality
