Can you tell what gender a BCM chick is at 2-4 months of age?

Just wondering. Someone local has chicks for sale, 2-4 months old and I just don't want to end up with any roosters! I haven't heard back yet, but the seller may know what sex they are already. I just don't want to get stuck with some off cast cockerels since I just got rid of six extra roosters a few days ago!

It should be relatively easy to tell at that point. The younger ones will actually be less confusing, as the boys should have some decent sized combs, and red faces, and the girls will not. The 4 month old pullets may have some red in the face, but the comb should still be small. Just avoid the biggest and reddest combs and wattles, and you should be fine.

I've usually been pretty sure with mine by 4 weeks or so. There are the occasional late bloomers though...
