I would wait until the birds get older. You can vent sex but on a quail that small that is detrimental if you don't know what you are doing.

You would look at the cloaca (butt)...but it isn't recommended if you haven't done it, involves pressing in that area. You can kill the chick.

Toby Do Yourself And Your Babies A Favor--- Wait For The Color Change! Vent Sexing Bobs Is Difficult And Spazes Them Out, They Fight So Much Its Very Very Easy To Hurt Them Or Even Kill 1 By Doing This, And Usually You Cant See The Genitals Well Enough To Make An Accurate Sex Call Until They Are Ready To Change Colors Anyway... Its Just Not Worth The Risk
