Sexing chicks by size

    I hatched three silkies about two weeks ago, and I noticed something about their size that I wonder might indicate their gender. There is a small black one, and two slightly larger gray ones. I suspect that the smaller one might be a hen, and the other two are roosters. Any information is helpful. Thanks!

    The gereral thought is you have about a 50% chance of sexing silkeys correctly, untill they lay a egg or crow, then it is easy. You can guess better when they are older.

    I've heard you can sex them on shape of their afro also, but I haven't had any luck... I think if it was as easy as size, nobody would have a problem sexing them...sorry I can't be more help!
