sexing chicks, wifes tale?

    I just read on the internet that if you hold a chick by 2 fingertips above their wings and hold them up, if their legs are straight pointing down, they are pullets, and if their legs are forward with bent knees they are roo's.
    Due to the pelvis being wider for egg laying for pullets.
    Any truth in this??

    The pelvis on a pullet does not change until she is egg laying so the reason it supposedly works is already flawed.

    You have a 50% chance with this method, just like putting them in a box with one side green and the other side red and wait to see which side they go to...

    sex-links, auto-sexed, feather sexed, and early comb-maturing birds are easier to sex.
