I have heard some ole tales that you can tell by the way the egg is shaped any truth in that?

Well, this won't be much help, but I've heard and followed...now just have to wait till they grow up and see! Apparently, rounded 'pointy end' means hen, pointy 'pointy end' means roo.....We'll see.
