Can anyone tell me if the wing sexing method works on all breeds?

I had 8 chickie babies hatch out today and now that they have dried I can look at their wings and see that some have only one row of feathers, while others have 2 distinct rows.

Since I can only keep a couple of these babies for my gardens I want to make sure to get girls.

    Thanks.

PS. If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize. I wasn't really sure where to put it.

Wing-sexing doesn't apply to all breeds...what kind are they?

I have 1 maran, 2 sex link, 4 barred rock, and a buff orp.

I have seen an article to sex barred based on head/leg coloring... but in my case the the legs aren't a solid color. Is that normal?

Barred Rock hen and RIR Rooster = black sex link, if this is what you have (there are others) the boys have a white spot on the back of their head, I get the same look from my red Ameraucana and BR hen (Black sex link Easter Egger)
    Edit:
Here is a pic, you can see the white spot on the black bird.

Interesting. Saltand Pepper. Does anyone have photos? I recall seeing this done by farmladies at the feed store chick bins as a kid, but never knew what they were up to.
