I bought mottled orpington hatching eggs and I was wondering if you guys knew if you could wing sex mottled orpingtons?

What breeds of chickens can you wing sex? I also have olive eggers (ameraucana x black copper marans), could these be wing sexed?

You have to cross a rapidly feathering male with a slow feathering female for it to work...here's a table:

Pretty much. I would imagine you could technically accomplish it if you had two flocks of the same breed...one selected over many generations for fast-feathering, and one for slow feathering. Then you could cross between flocks and get a breed you could wing-sex, but that seems like a lot of effort when you can either be patient or hire a vent-sexer.
