Turns out my 3 month old Brahma is a too, and I'm questioning if the Wellsummer I bought with him is also. My White Leghorns turned out to be Sussex, which I like better, but I am also wondering if one or both are Roos. The Plymouths I raised with them are the only two out of 6 laying, and the ones I suspect to be Roos look the part. The Plymouths and Sussex are 4 weeks older than the Brahma and Wellsummer.[IMG]

The Welsummer is a pullet. Cockerels have much different coloring. Those aren't Sussex. They have yellow legs, so I would guess Columbian Rocks.

Your Welsummer is definitely a hen. I am not that familiar with Sussex breed, but it looks like it is a hen as well.

I am fairly certain the Welsummer is a hen, but really unsure about the Sussex.

Oh ok, any idea if they're pullets or Roos? They're combs are pretty big but understand they can be in some breeds. I don't see saddle feathers.

    The Rocks look like pullets.

Your Welsummer is definitely a hen. I'm pretty sure your Sussex (which is probably a Columbian Rock) is a pullet, too.

    I agree.

Its a Columbian Rock because Sussex should have white legs, and your bird has yellow legs.
