Sexing Salmon Faverolles chicks

Hi,
I have 2 Salmon Faverolles chicks that are supposed to be pullets. They are 6 weeks old and appear to be darker than what I was expecting. Any thoughts on if they are indeed female. Thanks

They are very cute! I am not an expert with Salmon Faverolles, but it seems a bit too early to tell whether or not they are really pullets.

Hatchery chicks I assume? At this point I'm guessing female - while they have some dark coloring, there's still a good mix of salmon in there, and the chests aren't black.

Hi, here are two more pictures of the two SFs now at 8 weeks. They look like pullets but would love experts to weigh in. One has muffs, the other one does not. Thanks

The 2nd picture chick has no muff, but they both look like pullets.

Thank you both! Do you think the second one will grow muffs or are there some SFs without muffs?

They're supposed to have muffs, however with hatchery birds, I'm never surprised to see things that don't match up to the breed standard.

Muffs are acquired in New born chicks, they don't develop later in life.
