Sexing Silkie Chicks

I was wondering if there is a way to sex day old silkie chicks. My local farm store is getting some in first thing Friday morning and I was going to get some for 4H.

They are getting in blue and blacks at 3.50 each is this a good price for silkies? They said that they would have white in a week or so...not sure if I want white for fair project thought they might be harder to keep clean.

Sounds like a great price, they run 5+ around here each. And sadily, there isn't a way to feather sex them... even very experienced silkie owners often can't tell on some till they are a few months old.
