Sexing Silkie Chicks

I have see some forums where you can sex a chick at 2 to 4 days after they hatch by there wings. I wondering if this will work for Silkies as well? If not does anyone have a clue on how to sex a baby silkie??

I don't think so. Silkies are one of the hardest breeds to sex. On some it's nearly impossible until they crow or lay.

I see, Thank you. When I was younger we use to gently pick the baby chicks up behind the neck and if the feet when straight down it was a boy and if they put there feet up to there body, it was a girl. But of course, they weren't Silkie chickens, they were rhoades Island reds. Don't think this works for silkies though..

One of my 5.5 week old Silkies is crowing. Just not sure which one!
