Looking for Gender predictions....
My two black silkies (Hatched March 30-April1).... 12+ weeks old now
Leaning toward small one = pullet. Some friends think 2 pullets, but I'm not convinced on the big one yet. It seems to have some traits of both genders.

Big one:
(narrow walnut comb, doesn't stand tall, doesn't chest bump, very friendly, loves to cuddle, sometimes crest looks round.... other times I fear I see streamers) Did I mention it's bigger!?

Small one/ Runt:
(had very slow growth and feather development, possible development delay, finally getting a crest, slightly timid)

The small one still looks female. About the same but bigger.

The larger one is looking more male..... but at 20 weeks has not given me a crow. I think those could be streamers in the back of the crest, and the comb has grown.

At 20 weeks I would expect more male characteristics by now. Smaller one definitely looks female. On the fence with the larger one.😊
BTW, your silkied Serama boy is adorable!🥰

Thank you. He's my sweetie- ONE month younger than the silkies. Except he crows and tries to mate already. A pathetic, squeaky crow that fits his appearance. Both silkied seramas come running when I squat down and rub my fingers together.

Not sure why the big black silkie hasn't crowed yet. I'm thinking silkie male but perhaps this little serama got all the testosterone, so the silkie doesn't bother crowing.
