I know everyone always asks so I will too. I have a 1 1/2 month old American Buff female goose and 1 1/2 month old Super African. I was told the Buff was a female but the Super African is unknown. I brought them home the other day from a guy who couldn't keep them (lucky for me). Is their anyway of telling by feathers like roosters with the saddle feathers the sex? They still have fluff but it's mostly on there necks and some on there sides so I can't really go by color as with other geese. Any other hints? Why do birds make it so hard to figure out there sex? So hush hush with them. I would also like to know how much will a Super African weigh when it's full grown and how tall does it get? I can't find much info about this type of goose. The Buff seems to be an average size goose so far and this one is very sweet.
