Shaking heads and scratching ears

My chickens seem to be shaking their heads slightly and I catch some scratching at the ears
Can this be mites or lice or something else?

Probably critters of the parasitic variety.

Check their feathers, shaft and skin. Check near their vents and eyes/cheeks. Wipe your hand along roosting bars and look for reddish smears.

Did you make any discoveries? Signs of lice/ mites?

I checked this morning and there weren’t any signs of mites/lice. Shafts skin and roost seemed clean

Are they still head shaking? Mine sometimes do that when they wander through tall grass and its dewy.
