Shampoo

so i have a silkie chick that is 4 months old he kind of stinks so I am going to bathe him but the shampoo I have has wild cherry bark extract in it I have read that is bad for chickens and was wondering if I shouldn’t use the shampoo or is it ok

I also don’t know where to post this so I am just putting it here

i used some clear dish soap it definitely made him smell better thanks for the help

Dawn for dishes is ok. Some dish soap will leave a residue. I discovered that once when I washed a car with it.
