OK, I'm in.

Five Crevecoeur eggs and two *mystery* eggs going in tomorrow morning bright and early. May stick in a dozen Trader Joe's too if I can talk myself into getting dressed and driving over there to get them in the morning... my two little Leghorns are lonely, and they need a roo!

I can't believe I'm doing this while packing up to move- I had promised myself to pack up the incubators first- HA, fat chance! Instead of putting them away, I bought two new ones to go with the two I already have!! Sheesh, I'm out of control! Good thing we're moving where we can have all the chickens we want! (already 20 over the limit here, and hatching...)

I know it is all in jest and for fun. You all have too much fun at it though, I am jealous! I need to get on BYC to get my chicken fix since none of my friends like chickens. I am thinking I need new friends

good luck on your hatch. I am even more anxious on mine since our dogs just killed that last of our flock yesterday. I am SO sad right now.
I have 3 mix EEXDark Cornish from my own that I just stuck in for fun, 7 Silkies from Reesepoultry and 9 Cayuga ducks that are my neighbor's. This is my first hatch, so I am right there watching and hoping and checking. I have a HovaBator and once I adjusted the temp, it seems to be pretty easy. I did get the auto turner so I don't have to open it so much, but I do a little each day to check things out.

Crazy me, I also have about 50 chicks coming in the next couple of weeks. Then I am going to hatch more at school for my daughter's class. Then I am getting some eggs and more chicks in June. That is all I have planned for now, but who knows, I may need to feed my growing addiction in between all this. Who is the resident shrink for all of us crazy chicken people? Oh, wait, if they are on here, they are just as bad off as the rest of us!

And sonew and Lovin...I used to spend time in the summer up close to you, at Oswegatchie FFA in Crogan! I loved it there! Such a beautiful part of the world. It makes me laugh when people are puzzled that there is countryside to New York and not just the city. AND "If you are from New York, where is your accent?"

we're all here with you. I'll tell you what helped me stop crying when the hawk got my loviegirl. I was on here feeling angry and bawling like a baby, when I saw someone's siggy.
