Shatter proof bulbs

    My Icelandic group on face had this posted. One of the members loss his whole flock over night after installing coating bulbs. Myself and a lot hadn't heard about this just thought I'd share it is that time of year

    Yep, it's deadly to all birds. However a heat lamp shouldn't be used at all in a coop since just the use of a regular heat lamp itself can cause death, either by causing a coop fire or by going out, either during a power loss or just by blowing, and then the birds would be plunged into cold temperatures suddenly, go into shock, and die. So while these will cause death much quicker and much more reliably, all heat lamps and heat sources are dangerous - and unneeded.
