I was worried because I bought my first Peahen about a week ago. She seemed to love being with the Turkeies and Guineas but one afternoon she took off in the woods. We were unable to catch her and each night she get farther away and higher in the trees. This went on for about aweek but tonight I heard something next to on of my coops and there she was. About chest high in a bush. I waited till after dark and she was no problem to catch. I put her in a large brooder for the night but I am going to have to start on our new covered coop so she will have plenty of room.

She is my first one so I wasn't prepared. I will get her pen built real soon and I plna on getting her a byfriend and one more hen. She is a blue but both of her parents were split pied is what I was told.
