"She" is awful bigger could she be a rooster ? Buff orpington 3.5weeks

    We bought these chicks together! They are about 3.5 weeks old but one is much larger than the other one!
    Please if you have any ideas if this could be a rooster?! She is huge compared to her sister!!

    Looks like his legs are very thick...
    I'd guess boy.

    His legs are very huge Lol but he's very friendly so if he turns out to be a he we sure are keeping him

    She does not look like a boy yet.
    Feathering rate is similar, combs are similar, size is the only difference......hmmmmm

    Still a bit young but I think both are female.
    The size difference is dramatic. All the males I have ever had did not grow that differently from the females.

    Weird possibility.... The small one is bantam perhaps??

    Could she just be older than the other one and just the guy got it wrong?!
    How old does she appear to look?! I'm new at this!

    Excellent question.

    To me they are fully feathered looking so 3.5 weeks is a giant question mark.

    Mine are not that feathered until about 5+ weeks.
