best friend/partner died

our hen, bernice, quit laying about two months ago when her *best friend*/partner died

really?!? is that possible? she has laid... maybe... three eggs since then. she used to lay every day. she is just over a year old.

are there any other reasons why she would quit? any way i can get her to start laying again?

She might have quit laying due to the heat, change in food, or if moved to another coop. Have any of these things happened?
