This morning I let all the birds out, fed and watered and went back to bed. Around mid morning (no I didn't sleep that long) I went out to move the vehicle and I had to put two of my pullets back in the run and I noticed that my Sukoshi- my black Japanese Bantam cockerel (I'm pretty sure) was missing. I called for him and walked around the coop, checked the other run and coop-no Sukoshi. I was kind of surprised that he was missing cause he normally doesn't wander far from Chibi (My Black Jap pullet - I think..lol) They even roost cuddled together at night. But I had no clue where he went. In back of the coops is a wooded/rocky hill- steep up, so I assumed he went up there. So this afternoon I had to go into town. Still wasn't there before we left. As soon as we got back my son ran to check the run and exclaims "Mom, Sukoshi is back!" Doubtful I went to check and sure enough he was back and in the run where he belongs. Needless to say while I was sitting out there this afternoon, (had all the 7 weekers in the run today for quite a while), he and I had a little talk.
