here's a better pic of my newbie.
I would have to look them all up, but I think only 7 or 8. I know black, blue, and wheaten. Splash is not recognized.
SC, what color would mine be called?
How old were they SC? How old can a cockerel be before the testosterone starts to ruin the flavor?
Yes the barred EE project he was working on for autosexing EEs. Not sure if I will continue the project or just add the colored egg layers to my egg production run. Bought the eggs on a whim on the 24hr auction. There is some wheaton in the mix messing up the autosexing project and I'm not sure if I have the space or love of the project to continue it.
They are much bigger now. I need to get some new pics.
I have Araucanas too... project... tails and clean faces mostly... awesome birds, my fave...
Black and blue (splash happens, not accepted color)
Wheaten and blue wheaten (splash happens as well)
Lavender is an accepted project...
Has a lot of wheaten in it, but not a pure wheaten
5months was perfect. 6 would have probably been ok
What?! No way!
Oh, and Buff... I always forget that one... not a fan of that color, lol...
My nn hen is nn/ee (Aracauna genes) has a couple feather tufts that stick out on her cheeks. She is the homliest bird, but a sweet disposition.
