I understand the abbreviations for texting, but I'm too old to care.
IKR makes my skin crawl. That is the equivalent of saying "I really don't care enough about what you said to have a comment, or I'm too dumb to formulate my own opinion". And it always ends on an up inflection. Dumb, dumb, dumb

Please keep me posted on how your eggs do at hatch time. I still think there is a lot of knowledge that needs to be printed for shipped eggs. Especially since it is so popular. I tried not turning for 2 days only because I was worried about not during for the first 7 days. Almost half early quitters. Then I tried not turning for 6 days and ALL eggs developed but a little less then half died in lockdown. (But for other reasons, I believe the breeder may have sent older eggs). On this new batch I plan on being very blue till hatch time. Only candling on 7 & 18. Not marking air cells till lockdown. So I can see where pips are. Then at hatch time I'll be very red. Trying to save as many chicks as possible. I have seen assisted chicks do just as well as not assisted. I know there can be problems but I'll chance that and then cull if I have too because if half the chicks make it, they'll have cost me about $15 a chick. I'm also curious about humidity and shipped eggs. I've read a couple conflicting things. So as I gather info, I'll pass anything that sounds solid along to you. Good luck next week!

Yeppers.
I can't bring myself to use LOL. Except on very, very rare occasions. BRB, TTYL, IMO, are my mainly used ones. I don't like and never have used TY

Well I just went in to check on the lone egg in the incubator.  Went to pick it up and it started cheeping.  Couldn't see an external pip but it could be on the other side of the egg.  Now I really need to find some hatchlings!

Oh man. Sorry to hear you lost one. Were they exposed to the main flock? Did you hatch them yourself? Medicated starter?
 
Ruby, they were ordered through the mail. They weren't fed medicated feed, and they weren't exposed immediately to dirt like rest of my chickens. I think it's all the rain and humidity we've been having. They're in rabbit hitches. So I think the humidity and old traces of rabbit poo caused it
