I like to handle my hens as much as possible -- I want them to be friendly, companionable pets. So tonight my 10 week old Barred Rock was in my lap when she suddenly reached up and snatched my pearl earring!! And she doesn't look even a little bit sorry!

Mine have been trying to remove the diamond in my engagement ring for many moons now. Thank goodness for strong settings.

I only wear extremely large diamonds- too big for the chickens to swallow. [IMG]

Lol..yeah... but you know my luck...
The chicken would get its head stuck inside my earring hoop,..while the earring was still attached to my head....
I can just see it now....

OT Sorry, but that reminds me of the time my daughter (with her newly pierced belly button) decided to take a nap on the couch. She wrapped herself in my afghan and then rolled over on her tummy. Woke up snagged to the afghan. After watching her run through the house screaming for five minutes, trailing the afghan, I tripped her so she'd sit still long enough for me to untangle her.
