OK...same old story...need some input. I have five 10 weeks old EE's that I "think" I know he vs.she...but before I re-home the boys I want to be 100% sure...just in case!

1) Ginger...pullet?

2) Love this coloring...fearful it's a 'he..' Triple row of comb, not terribly red but not pale. Got feathers (tail) in early...(fingers crossed) I'm quite confused on the coloring differences I've read about on EE's...is this 'girly' or 'boyish' coloring?

3) Your guess is as good as mine...leaning towards girl....but I'm an optimist...:)

4) Love blue birds...but think he's a he...dang it. Very cool barring on wings, dark blue head with lighter body...but no tail yet...

5) Less comb overall and coloring has me leaning towards girl...more cool blueish barring on feathers, bluebeard and rusty red.

They all look like pullets to me, their combs should be showing some pink or red by now for roos. Plus, they all look really plump and pullet-like.

haylee--you have my favorite answer!!!....hope you are right:)

RoostersCrow/HensDeliver-- Although I love haylees answers, cause that's what I want to hear, I'm afraid you are right on one or two of the possible boys....

Will be curious to see what others think...and what they end up as!

1. pullet
2. cockerel
3. pullet
4. pullet
5. pullet

Now I am no expert at all. Doing this more for my education so please let us know. :) My thinking on the second is the red is on the shoulders. The third has red but it is spotted all over with blotches of red. The second has more red in the comb as well. The others are pretty pale.

Thanks for your input/thoughts on who is who! I will definitely update once someone makes it blatantly clear which side of the nestbox they belong:)
In the meantime looking forward to more opinions and if you have a reason for feeling why he is a he or she is a he, please share!
Those darn coloring patterns are messing with me! If the white bird (#1) has red patches on his/her wings, not shoulders...do you still think it's a he?
Heavy sigh.....
