so i've been reading up a bit on hatching shipped eggs with detached air sacs, and i think mostly i've got the idea... but there seems to be some confusion on whether to place the eggs on their sides for lockdown, or whether to leave them in the carton with fat end up. can anyone advise me? what have you tried? what has worked best?

I have just left them on my side and I have hatched very well that way! I dont think you need to put them fat end up but you might wanna see what others think!!! BTW......... :welcome

i have this visual of you laying on your side, with the eggs nestled on top. :)

thank you for the welcome. i have long utilized the amazing resources around here, and decided it was time to get more involved. i have some cochin hatching eggs on the way.

have you left them on their sides the whole time or just at the end?
