Can anyone recommend a good place to buy shipping boxes for birds, or is it possible to make them? I need to ship 4 bantams, and one company wanted to charge $70 for shipping a $20 box!

Quote:I got three Silkies (one 6month old and two 3 month olds) from MN and it cost $36 to ship. They all fit in one box really well. The seller added $10 for the box. They made it here in great shape.

The $70 shipping was for the empty box, from the manufacturer.

Ahh I love BYC! Thanks so much, those are a lot cheaper than the ones I was looking at.

It was the exact same box as those ones Jody posted the link for, but direct from the manufacturer. I didn't think my buyer would be too pleased when I told them the box would be $90 and the shipping $40.
