I called our local post office as I am wanting to have some chicks shipped to me. They said any sturdy box would do??? and they can ship priority??
The person has never shipped and of course I am also new to this.
Can she really ship in a regular post office box??

I don't know but, I would think you need to ship in a box that is easily recognized as having chicks in it.. When I got chicks from a hatchery they had a few air holes in the chick shipping box and it had a fiber type mat in the bottom so chicks had good footing and a heat pack.

They can ship proirity as long as they are less than 24 hours old. I wouldn't ship them in any regular boxes (I'm not really sure they are supposed to let you). They shipping boxes that they make are designed to keep them warm but also lets them breath, I would go with one of those.
