My mom works in a feed store that sells chicks from Cackle but we are relativley close and they lose about 1 chick each time but thats out of hundreds.
Not from Cackle, but my Chanteclers made the trip from Ideal in Texas to Maine the third week of March last spring. 100% survival.
My 15 shipped from cackle on 3-1 en route to south alabama. they got here on 3-3 with the temps droping into the 20's overnite each nite. I was worried but all showed up with one extra. with an extra month for it to warm up some you may be ok.
