I have a BO that is 25 weeks and 2 days. I know her age for sure b/c I have had her since she was a few days old. Her comb and waddles seem so pale and small. Has anyone had a BO with such wimpy combs at this age? Her body size seems age appropriate. Needless to say, she is not laying yet. She is on layer feed, with tons of fruits, veggie treats and time to free range. She is my only BO, so I have nothing to compare her to. My RIR has great a comb and just started to lay. What do you think??

If everything else seems fine with the chicken, aka happy and healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Some breeds begin laying later then others, and also some individual chickens are just late layers. I'd give her a couple of weeks, and she should start laying.

Good luck

My Bo's had redness about 21-22 weeks old-they were laying at 25 weeks-so your on track for the next week or two for eggies!
