My chicks are 2 1/2 weeks old. When they are old enough to go into there new coop should I lock them in the coop for a couple days or let them go in the run?

Lock them in for a few days so they know that it is home. You may need to put them in at night for the first few days just because you have to teach them the routine. I did that with mine and they got it in couple of days and now put themselves in.
