should i vaccinate 6 day old chick

hello I'm getting a 6 day old silkie chick from a breeder that does not vaccinate and I was wondering if I should still vaccinate it. I had a chick die that was around a year and a half die of it and I'm worried I'm gonna lose this chick to it to. Is it too late to vaccinate the chick or is it better that it stays unvaccinated. also worried about the health of my other 2 yr old chicken incase the chick gives her any disease any help is appreciated.

As far as I know, all vaccines have to be done just after hatching or a very short time after.

So I think Marek's needs to be done on day 1. Even if you were try to do it at home, it's not something that's really feasible for home use in most cases, as I believe you must buy dosages for 1000 uses, and it needs to be injected, which is probably pretty tough on a squirming baby.
