Should've taken Miss Jane's money and run!

    DRATS! FOILED AGAIN!

My three lazy, spoiled-rotten, good-for-nothing, freeloading, 36-weeks-old (come Wednesday) hens' lives are in great peril. ONE finally laid an egg last week, and Miss Jane wanted to buy it for $4,000, but I had other plans/business ventures for that extra-special egg and the one laid the next day. Thinking I'd have lots more, I ate them both, BUT it turned freezing cold, and that one hen stopped laying and the other two never did begin. Now I'm out $4,000 and probably will never get another egg.

Question: Is this the saddest story that you've ever read?

Those hens laid those eggs specifically to temp and torture you further by not laying another.

My 4th pen of blue orps started laying this weekend. [IMG]

    HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL!

I just now went out to the coops to check the new interior thermometers that I put in yesterday. THE LITTLE BLACK HEN IS SITTING IN THE NEST READY TO LAY ANOTHER EGG.
