I would love to see pics of your silkie roos, especially their combs. Show me what a show silkie roo comb looks like. Thanks.

George is a silkie with two different color parents. I have no idea if his comb is typical or not. It's a little freaky if you ask me. But he's a good boy![IMG]
  3. that's some comb he's got! is he called a splash?

That black one is adorable, it looks like he is standing on his tippy toes. How long does it take for them to develope their full combs? I have some that are 5-6 months and I am wondering if they are done growing yet?

Thanks, yeah he was standing right on the edge!

They will continue to grow, sometimes for years...the combs on your boys aren't done yet.

Great pictures Julie. YOur birds are outstanding. I could not find one close up of my Roosters combs. I am not the greatest at getting them to pose.

    Here's my partridge boy Puff.

I almost didn't keep him cause he was ugly as a youngster. Silkies grow slow he has matured into a good looking guy. I trimed off his top notch cause he free ranges in the yard and I have hawks.
