    Never heard of that...

I feed my games cat/dog food every once in a while... I think that has some salt in it.

LOL some for sure. I know the point of what you are feeding but eggs are free. A few hard boiled shell and all along with some banana will work wonders.

Yeah. I mix it up... I should do more hard boiled for the chickens.. I usually eat or pickle my hard boiled eggs. I give a lot of eggs to my dogs, especially if I don't know if they are old or partially developed.

I hate feeding bananas because they get all dirty when I drop them (I don't have the luxury of grass). Mine get a lot of leftover eggs shells and veggies/fruit scraps. I need to start growing barely grass again, or just get a lawn.

Heard of a guy back in the day that put an old cock with baby stags on a walk. So he could let them run loose longer. No hens around. When he picked up the stags each went into a big pen with a hen or two.

That is how you establish a social order. Doing so with naturally aggressive birds avoids breeding issues down the road. I know of this method, some older stags just don't have the patience.

[IMG][IMG]mangled feet from pen altercation. Roughly 5 weeks ago, many bandage changes. All scabbed up still, one broken toe and numerous broken nails. I doubt salt water would have helped.

They both look really nice! I'm working on putting a Kelso brood pen together right now.
