Show Quality Lavender Silkies!!!

Hi,

I have been on the hunt for lavender silkies for a very long time. Can anyone help me purchase some. I have asked alot of people on yahoo but no one seems to have any eggs for sale only chicks that i can't ship in.

Lavendar is not yet an approved silkie color according to the SOP. No definition of 'show quality' for them because there is no standard as of yet. There is a general agreement as for relatively what they want, but nothing in writing yet. You can show them as AOV, but can go no further than best of variety.

There are several breeders that have been working on them for many years. Deb Steinburg and Bren Gambill come to mind as some of the best ones. Be prepared to get on a waiting list or fork out big money for started youngsters right now. They are just a fad and will come down in price in future years when more people have them.
