Show silkie and polish chicks

I bought chicks from a Breeder that has won numerous shows. I had a question about the colors and survivability. I got a variety of colors I got 2 white silkies, 1 black, 1 blue, and a splash. I then got 1 black and 1 blue polish. The Breeder threw in an extra white silkie and an extra black polish. From day one the blues for both breeds were smaller. On day three the blue polish passed. A week and a half later the blue silkie was still it’s orig size and passed yesterday morning. Do the blues have a lower chance of living and that’s why she gave me two extra? I’m not mad just curious. Thank you all for the help

I've never heard that blues have a lower survival rate and I own a couple. I'd be very interested in knowing the disease history of her farm.
