sick 4 and a half week old chick and adult hen?

So i have a sick adult laying hen (well used to be laying) and she was fine one day and sick and almost dead today she sounds awful i will try to get a vudeo of her breathing and she is always tail touching the ground or sitting dow the chick is a little more healthy she/he eats drinks and moves fine but he/she is almost 100% of the time sitting there with tail touching the ground and almost always alone away from the rest same thing for the hen i dont know whats going on please help i dont want all of my flock to die!

The chick may need to be treated for coccidiosis. Corid is best for that. The dosage for the liquid form is 9.5 ml per gallon water for 5 to 7 days.

The hen, idk. She sits like she may be egg bound. Has she laid recently? Are there any other symptoms? Diarrhea? Is she eating or drinking? Her comb looks a bit purple to me. That is a sign for some diseases. I would try remedies for egg bound hens first. I don't have experience with it, but you can search the term on this forum and find alot of info on it. If she isn't eggbound, you may have to match her symptoms to certain disease and try treating for that.
Here is a link with much info on that. I would check out the symptoms for AI, fowl cholera, and blackhead. Just trying to think of what would cause a purple comb.

I agree with Mrs. Bachbach to treat the chick for possible coccidiosis with Corid (amprollium) which is found in the cattle medicines of feed stores. In what area of the US are you located? Your hen is wheezing and gasping pretty bad. She may have a respiratory disease, or she could just be in the stages before death from other causes. How old is the hen? If she has not been laying for a long period, she may have something like internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis, which is eventually fatal. I would check inside her vent 1-2 inches to feel for a stuck egg. Her comb looks very dark like she is not getting enough oxygen. Avian influenza is found in many different areas of the US this spring, but there is usually some information locally if it has been found near you. Most of the birds being infected now are from large factory farms in the Mississippi river basin, and in the north west.

Im in nevada but and i will run to the store and treat the chick and then i dont think she will make it tonight shes in a crate in a warm room with a heat lamp she is only 1 year and will be 2 june 1st no she hasnt laid any eggs for months i will check inside her vent after im back from the feed store

Internal laying and egg yolk peritonitis are common problems in good laying breeds. Ascites or fluid in the abdomen from heart or liver failure is also common. Oviduct cancer is another common reproductive problem in chickens. Here is some reading about those things:
