My chicks are about 5+weeks old. (A first timer with chickens, but I have ducks) We live in Florida and since they have 99% of their feathers, we’ve been letting them sleep outside. It’s been warm! If it’s cold we bring them in.

ANYWAYS, I went to put them away tonight, a little later than usual, and I found this on one of what I think is a hen. It hasn’t been there long at all because someone is constantly out there with them and nobody’s noticed anything. What the heck is this? What do I do? 😭

Super secure from predators.. and it’s not the vent. It’s just to the side of it! And okay.. I will get her. :( And it looks like a huge boil or something, I have no idea! I will try to get better pics
 
It does look like intestines, hard to tell from the photo.

Do you have vet care? Often that's not an option at all.

Hard to know how it happened, possibly got cut on some wire or staple.
Any places in wire or gaps in housing where a Racoon could reach in and grab a bird?
