Emma whose name means healer went to live outside today. Tangled up in the Mcmurray mishap, we didn't think she'd live. She is a georgous speckled sussex pullet that has a forever place with us. I'll get pictures later and post them here. I am so proud of her. Two weeks ago, she laid in her food shaking, now she is outside playing with the other chicks.

That's awesome Storm! Did you find that anything in particular helped? Or was it just TLC and time? Both of my Speckled Sussex are affected, but not as badly as some of the others.

We leave them alone and don't mess with them. For a while now, we've tried giving them layer pellets and I think that helped strengthen their legs. I guess as far as babying them, don't. They don't get stronger when you are always there to pick them up when they fall over. It's hard, but we have been tough on the little babies and they are definitely getting stronger! One more (Tipsey) is almost ready to go out! Another week!!!!!!
