I got this chicken Saturday with a Rooster, they look to be Cochine. The Rooster is doing absolutely wonderful with Gorgeous colors and cocky attitude but very friendly. Loving him a lot however, his girl isn't doing so well, she has brown and yellow diarrhea, very very running. She doesn't want to do anything but sleep, she has been in the nest since Saturday night. Sunday I gave her some yogurt and squashed some peas in it and she ate it probably about a 1/2 a teaspoon. I don't know what else to do with her. She's not breathing funny, she is able to walk but just dont care too. It's like she has no energy and just gives up on life.. Depression, as silly as that may sound she acts as though she is depressed.. She just sits in the nesting box all day sleeping. I thought she was broody but when I gave her an egg she had absolutely NO interest. In fact she would stand on her feet to try and avoid laying on it, and sleep while on her feet. What should I do? I have antibotics I could give her, I have sulmet I could give her, I just don't know if that's what she needs. I did feel her chest yesterday and she had about a dime size of crumbs in her but today, nothing, she's not eating nothing... Please help...

Well I don't know what happened but my hen didn't make it. I went to go and check on her to see if she would eat more yogurt and she had past..

I did noticed one thing her chest where they store food, it seemed like she still had the same amount of crumb in her sack since I checked it on Saturday night. It almost seemed like it never went down to digest. I don't know if this is a posibility of cause of death but I guess it's a good theory. Any suggestions would be helpful...
