sick chick??

Hi all, came home to find my 17 week old ameracauna lathargic, drinking alot of water and getting pecked. also noticed she is shaking a bit and her tail is drooping. any thoughts as to what this could be?

also standing and closing her eyes, like she's sleeping... could this have anything to do with egg laying? could she be having issues?

Yes it does sound like she is sick. I'm sure someone can give you some advice. Myself I would probably isolate her and start her on antibiotics.

strange, since i posted this she's 100% back to normal. I have decided that it must have been something she ate, after a few watery poops she's back! hanging with the flock, jumping from roost to roost and eating like a rockstar!

I'll definetly keep an eye out for any additional strange behavior though, thanks for your input!
