We just noticed a swollen lump just under her beak that was not there before. She has sticky stuff in her mouth when she opens her beak. She was fun yesterday. She is exhausted

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Sorry it's not under better circumstances and you have a sick girl :hugs The sticky in her beak could be a crop issue, here is an article that should help determine this ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/impacted-slow-and-sour-crops-prevention-and-treatments
But it could also be something to do with the lump under her beak. This could be an Abcess or something that has got infected.
Please do post in the emergencies section, here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures

Wishing you the very best of luck with her :fl

Update. Eating and drinking! She was walking around the house. Looks much better but I'll feel better if she is still strong in the morning.

If the yellow sticky discharge persists, maybe try some baking soda in water a few times a day? Worked for a friend of mine whose chicken had a croup infection.

The swelling is gone in her throat! She's still exhausted but she is eating and drinking!
