A week or so ago, our puppy decided he wanted to "play" with the hens, who had flown outside of their run and were wandering around the yard. He managed to pull a large amount of feathers from one of our hens back, near the neck area, and possibly injured her wing. Being first time hen owners, I am not sure we handled things the best, but we tried. She has been removed from the coop, and placed in the basement in a contained area. We put some pick no more on the exposed area, perhaps a bit too liberally, which is where the issues arise. I am concerned that the layer of pick no more is inhibiting healing and feather growth, and worry that the potential for infection under the layer of pick no more has increased because of the inability for air to reach the would. Does anyone have any suggestions for repairing this issue? For potentially removing the layer of pick no more? I have not been able to locate anything online related to removing the product.

Thanks for your feedback.
